About Life Makers Foundation

Life Makers Foundation (LMF) is an Egyptian youth-led, voluntary, and non-governmental umbrella organization. It was established in 2011 to foster youth engagement in addressing emerging challenges at the local and global levels. Since its establishment, LMF has worked closely with community-based organizations to build youth capacities and support their efforts to develop their societies and respond to humanitarian needs and disasters. LMF operates in 24 governorates through a nonformal network of partner youth-led organizations and registered offices across Egypt, with a broad portfolio of projects and local initiatives in the sectors of Health, Education, Livelihoods, Humanitarian Assistance, Environment, and Youth Participation.

LMF adopts the core principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence in its operations to ensure the provision of assistance with no discrimination towards differences in ethnicity, religion, race, or any other consideration. LMF provides development and humanitarian interventions for the most vulnerable while preserving their dignity and ensuring their participation.

Life Makers is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-religious, non-political, and non-partisan movement that was launched in 2003 to mobilize the best of the human spirit to alleviate human suffering and protect human life and human rights.


About the Project 

“Steps Forward” Project aims to support economic empowerment and improve livelihoods for refugees and the most vulnerable groups in Egypt, through providing integrated capacity-building programs, supporting entrepreneurship, and enhancing employment opportunities. The project focuses on equipping beneficiaries with vocational skills and small business management knowledge, in addition to offering individual mentoring sessions and cash grants, contributing to increased income and the achievement of economic and social sustainability for beneficiaries.

Job Purpose  

Supporting the Program Manager in the overall coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. Ensuring project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and in line with LMF and donor regulations, with a focus on quality and impact.


Key Responsibilities:

    Project Planning & Implementation

- Supporting the Program Manager in developing detailed implementation plans, procurement plans, and activity schedules in line with the project proposal.

- Overseeing the day-to-day implementation of project activities, ensuring they are on track and aligned with the project's goals and objectives.
- Coordinating with the Project Officers and other project staff to ensure smooth workflow and integration of activities . 

Monitoring & Reporting

- Monitoring project progress against indicators, identifying challenges, and proposing corrective actions to the Program Manager
- Assisting in the preparation of high-quality internal and external reports (narrative and progress reports) for the Program Manager and donor 

Coordination & Representation
 
- Representing the project in coordination meetings with local partners, service providers, and relevant stakeholders as delegated by the Program Manager.
- Facilitating communication and coordination between the project team and other LMF departments (e.g., Finance, M&E, Supply chains)

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Business Administration, Project Management, Economics, or a related discipline)

- From 3–5 years of experience

- Proven experience in project management or coordination within the humanitarian or development sector - Experience working with refugees or vulnerable communities is highly         desirable. 

- Previous experience in economic empowerment, livelihoods, or vocational training projects is a strong asset

- Technical Skills: Project management, Report writing, Monitoring & Evaluation, Budget monitoring, Needs assessment, Referral coordination, Knowledge of protection principles

- Software Skills Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management/data entry systems (e.g., Odoo, RAIS).

- Soft Skills: Leadership, Team coordination, Problem-solving, Analytical thinking, Communication, Adaptability, Time management.

- High proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic, including the ability to draft reports and conduct meetings in both languages.
