About Life Makers Foundation

Life Makers Foundation (LMF) is an Egyptian youth-led, voluntary, and non-governmental umbrella organization. It was established in 2011 to foster youth engagement in addressing emerging challenges at the local and global levels. Since its establishment, LMF has worked closely with community-based organizations to build youth capacities and support their efforts to develop their societies and respond to humanitarian needs and disasters. LMF operates in 24 governorates through a nonformal network of partner youth-led organizations and registered offices across Egypt, with a broad portfolio of projects and local initiatives in the sectors of Health, Education, Livelihoods, Humanitarian Assistance, Environment, and Youth Participation.

LMF adopts the core principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence in its operations to ensure the provision of assistance with no discrimination towards differences in ethnicity, religion, race, or any other consideration. LMF provides development and humanitarian interventions for the most vulnerable while preserving their dignity and ensuring their participation.

Life Makers is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-religious, non-political, and non-partisan movement that was launched in 2003 to mobilize the best of the human spirit to alleviate human suffering and protect human life and human rights.


About Project

The project aims to enhance livelihood opportunities and economic inclusion for refugees and asylum seekers in Greater Cairo, while fostering social cohesion between refugee and host communities. Special emphasis is placed on women, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups including gender-based violence survivors and female-headed households.

Job Purpose

The M&E coordinator is responsible for supporting effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes . The role requires strong data analysis skills to generate actionable insights and inform decision-making. The  coordinator ensures that data collection, management, analysis, and reporting meet high standards and contribute to organizational learning and program improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Evaluation

- Develop and maintain monitoring tools and systems to track project progress and indicators.

- Coordinate and support data collection activities (quantitative and qualitative).

- Ensure data quality through regular data validation and verification processes.

- Analyze project data using statistical and analytical tools (e.g. Excel, SPSS, Power BI, SQL).

- Prepare regular monitoring reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.

 

Data Analysis and Reporting

- Lead on data analysis for evaluations, surveys (KAP, baseline, endline), and assessments.

- Prepare visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) for internal reports and donor submissions.

- Interpret data and provide actionable recommendations to improve program performance.

- Develop automated reporting tools where possible to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:


- Minimum of Two years of experience in a MEAL function

- Strong skills in data management and analysis software (Excel, SPSS, Power BI, SQL, or other relevant tools).

- Experience in designing and conducting surveys and evaluations.

- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative M&E methodologies.

- Excellent reporting and presentation skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable:

- Experience working in humanitarian or development settings.

- Knowledge of data visualization best practices.

- Knowledge of mobile data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, etc.).

- Familiarity with statistical or programming languages (Python, R) is an advantage
