About Life Makers Foundation
Life Makers Foundation (LMF) is an Egyptian youth-led, voluntary, and non-governmental umbrella organization. It was established in 2011 to foster youth engagement in addressing emerging challenges at the local and global levels. Since its establishment, LMF has worked closely with community-based organizations to build youth capacities and support their efforts to develop their societies and respond to humanitarian needs and disasters. LMF operates in 24 governorates through a nonformal network of partner youth-led organizations and registered offices across Egypt, with a broad portfolio of projects and local initiatives in the sectors of Health, Education, Livelihoods, Humanitarian Assistance, Environment, and Youth Participation.
LMF adopts the core principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence in its operations to ensure the provision of assistance with no discrimination towards differences in ethnicity, religion, race, or any other consideration. LMF provides development and humanitarian interventions for the most vulnerable while preserving their dignity and ensuring their participation.

Job Summary
The Donation Controller plays a key role in ensuring accurate, transparent, and timely recording of donations received across all LMF projects. The role supports proper tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements, local regulations, and LMF internal financial policies. The position works closely with the Finance, Fundraising, and Programs teams to ensure integrity and reliability of donation-related data
Job Purpose
To manage and control all donation transactions—cash, bank, online, and in-kind—ensuring they are properly documented, recorded, reconciled, and reported. The role supports donor compliance, enhances transparency, and strengthens internal controls over donation flows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Donation Tracking & Recording
• Collect, verify, and record all donation transactions in the accounting system.
• Ensure proper documentation (receipts, donor forms, bank slips, online confirmations.
Bank & Online Donations Reconciliation
• Reconcile bank statements with recorded donations.
• Follow up missing or unmatched transactions.
Cash Donation Control
• Monitor cash donations received across governorates and events.
• Ensure proper issuance of receipts and cash controls.
In-Kind Donations
• Record in-kind donations using fair value methods.
• Coordinate distribution documentation with field teams.
General Ledger Support
• Post entries to GL accounts related to donations & suspense accounts.
• Support month-end closing activities.
Reporting
• Issue weekly and monthly donation reports.
• Support donor reporting with finance and programs teams
Internal Control & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with LMF policies and donor regulations.
• Identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Coordination & Communication
• Liaise with Fundraising, Programs, and Finance to ensure accurate data flow.
Archiving & Documentation
• Maintain proper physical and digital archiving of donation documents.

Job Requirements:
Experience
• Experience in NGOs is highly preferred.
• Prior work with donations, cash management, or bank reconciliation is an asset
• Familiarity with donor compliance and reporting is a plus
Skills :
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of accounting systems (Odoo, ERP) preferred.
Language proficiency:
• Arabic: Native
• English: Good (reading & writing, especially in financial reporting
