About Life Makers Foundation

Life Makers Foundation (LMF) is an Egyptian youth-led, voluntary, and non-governmental umbrella organization. It was established in 2011 to foster youth engagement in addressing emerging challenges at the local and global levels. Since its establishment, LMF has worked closely with community-based organizations to build youth capacities and support their efforts to develop their societies and respond to humanitarian needs and disasters. LMF operates in 24 governorates through a nonformal network of partner youth-led organizations and registered offices across Egypt, with a broad portfolio of projects and local initiatives in the sectors of Health, Education, Livelihoods, Humanitarian Assistance, Environment, and Youth Participation.

LMF adopts the core principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence in its operations to ensure the provision of assistance with no discrimination towards differences in ethnicity, religion, race, or any other consideration. LMF provides development and humanitarian interventions for the most vulnerable while preserving their dignity and ensuring their participation.

Life Makers is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-religious, non-political, and non-partisan movement that was launched in 2003 to mobilize the best of the human spirit to alleviate human suffering and protect human life and human rights.


About Project

The project aims to enhance livelihood opportunities and economic inclusion for refugees and asylum seekers in Greater Cairo, while fostering social cohesion between refugee and host communities. Special emphasis is placed on women, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups including gender-based violence survivors and female-headed households.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Facilitation and Training:

o Design and deliver workshops and training sessions in the field of entrepreneurship.

o Employ interactive and participatory methodologies to ensure effective participant engagement.

o Facilitate guidance sessions to help participants develop project ideas.

2. Entrepreneurship Support:

o Provide guidance on starting and developing small businesses, including planning, marketing, and financing.

o Assist participants in understanding market requirements and transforming their ideas into actionable business models.

o Develop business plans and models with trainees and ensure their completion by the end of the training.

o Follow up with trainees post-training through mentoring sessions to further develop project ideas and business plans.

3. Working with Target Groups (Especially Refugees):

o Adapt training programs to meet the needs of refugees and vulnerable communities.

o Create a supportive and culturally sensitive environment to facilitate participant integration.

o Maintain confidentiality of participant data and provide appropriate developmental and psychological support in coordination with project management when needed.

o Ensure knowledge of and adherence to child protection policies and procedures while working with participants.

4. Evaluation and Follow-Up:

o Assess the needs of trainees and provide feedback to improve programs.

o Monitor participant progress post-training to offer necessary support.

5. Administrative Tasks and Documentation:

o Record daily attendance and prepare regular attendance reports.

o Organize and maintain training-related files and prepare summary reports for each training session.

6. Qualifications and Experience:

o Previous experience in facilitation or training in the field of entrepreneurship.

o Knowledge of training methodologies such as participatory facilitation and business model development.

o Experience working with refugees or individuals with special needs is highly advantageous.

o Ability to adapt to diverse work environments and different cultures.

o Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate participants.

o Proficiency in local languages (e.g., Arabic) and English may be required depending on the context.

7. Educational Requirements:

o A university degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).

o Training certifications in entrepreneurship or facilitation would be a strong asset.
