Background

Life Makers Foundation is an Egyptian registered National youth-led, voluntary and non-governmental organization (Reg. Number 839). Since its establishment in 2011, LMF worked on youth development to build their capacities to develop societies and respond to humanitarian needs and disasters. It works directly and together along with partner organizations in 24 Egyptian governorates in youth development, education, health, livelihood, food security and basic needs sectors.

LMF adopts the core principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence in its operations to ensure the provision of assistance with no discrimination towards difference in ethnicity, religion, race or any other consideration. LMF provides development and humanitarian interventions for the most vulnerable while preserving their dignity and ensuring their participation.

Life Makers is a voluntary non-governmental, non-religious, non-political and non-partisan movement that was launched in 2003 for mobilizing the best of the human spirit to alleviate human suffering and to protect human life and human rights.

Experience Needed:   1–2 years of experience  in case management or humanitarian work (preferably with refugees).
Career Level:           Experienced (Non-Manager)

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Law, or a related discipline).

  Project Summary

  The Refugee Services Center provides integrated support to refugees and asylum seekers, including protection services, psychosocial support, legal assistance, education, health referrals, and livelihood programs, in line with LMF’s humanitarian principles and local partnerships.

Job Purpose

To provide professional case management services to refugees and vulnerable individuals accessing the Refugee Service Center. This involves conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized support plans, facilitating referrals, and providing continuous follow-up to ensure protection and access to appropriate services. 

Responsibilities            

·       Receiving and reviewing new cases referred by partners and relevant entities (e.g., UNHCR)

·       Conducting initial interviews and comprehensive case assessments (BIA / Case Assessment)

·       Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans based on beneficiaries’ needs

·       Conducting regular case follow-up and updating intervention plans as needed

·        Documenting all case management processes accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality


Referrals & Coordination 

·       Referring cases to appropriate services (protection, psychosocial support, health, education, cash assistance, etc.)

·       Coordinating with service providers and local partners

·       Following up on referrals and ensuring beneficiaries’ access to services

·       Entering and updating case data on approved systems (e.g. Odoo / RAIS)
